Mary Ann Williamson Hembree of Newberry, age 72, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Palmetto Health Richland. She was born on January 1, 1937 to the late David Lester and Annie Lee Shealy Williamson. 

Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Tom) Wilson of Richmond, Virginia and Missy (Anthony) Dennis of Prosperity; granddaughters, Bella Rose and Anne Mallott Wilson of Richmond, Virginia; a sister, Josie W. (Buddy) Pedersen of Hopkins; brothers, David L. (Ruth) Williamson of Prosperity and Paul D. (Elizabeth) Williamson of Pomaria; a sister-in-law, Frances Williamson of Little Mountain; brothers-in-law, Dan (Tootsie) Hembree of Newberry and Doyle Hembree of Texas; a special niece, Debbie (Mike) Graham of Newberry.  Mrs. Hembree was predeceased by her husband, Clyde E. Hembree, Jr., a son, Scott Allen Hembree and a brother, George S. Williamson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Bob Kasting presiding.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.  The family is at the residence of Mike and Debbie Graham, 2018 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC and they will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
