Linda Thomas Corley, 64, of Prosperity, died Saturday, December 26, 2009, at her residence.

Born on August 23, 1945, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Hurley Edward and Martha Koon Thomas. Mrs. Corley was retired from Wal-Mart, was member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was very active with the American Cancer Society.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth D. Corley; a son, J. Edward (Paige) Graham of Pomaria; granddaughters, Taylor Graham, Madison Graham and Harper Graham; aunt, Mary Pinner (Lindsey) Koon; nieces, Kim (David) Lander of Chapin and Kelly (Trey) Outz of Prosperity; great-nieces, April Steele, Erin Outz and Molli Lander. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Barbara T. Knotts.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Kathy Harris. Burial will follow in St. Philip’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Helen Beebe, 181 Tailers Trail, Leesville, SC 29070 or the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Building Fund, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

To Linda's family:
Our deepest condolences at the passing of my cousin, Linda. We were unaware of her passing until today during an internet search. Our Christmas cards have returned helping us know something was wrong. Linda was much loved and will be missed greatly. If you receive this, please get in touch.

Edward & family --- While we were not able to be there in person and share in your sorrow, we have been thinking of you all constantly. I was so saddened to hear of Linda's passing.I also worked with Linda at Walmart.Linda was such a joy to be around.She always stayed positive and always had a smile on her face even when she wasn't having a good day.Linda was a strong lady,she battled her illness for so long.She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have known her.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda's death. But I know she has been sick for too long. I worked with her at Walmart several years ago and I can truly say, she was a lovely lady,inside and out.
