Margaret Marie Saunders Kerley, 68, of Little Mountain, widow of Kenneth Byarn Kerley, Sr., died Saturday, December 25, 2010, at her residence.

Born on September 23, 1942, in Camden, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Richard and Margaret Marie Check Saunders. Mrs. Kerley was retired from Head Start. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and attended Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Byarn (Anna) Kerley, Jr. of Lexington; a daughter, Carolyn Marie (Bill) Boland of Little Mountain; a sister, Carol Sczylcolsky of NJ; a brother, Samuel Richard Saunders of FL; grandchildren, Clayton Edward Boland and David Alexander Kerley; a niece, Lisa Sczylcolsky and a nephew, Artie Sczylcolsky.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Eric Fink. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glenn Allen, VA 23058
