Ute Nillius Bundrick, 72, of Pomaria, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at her residence.

Born on October 30, 1939, in Mianz, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Margott Wolff Nillius. Mrs. Bundrick was retired from the Newberry County Schools and was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil A. Bundrick, Jr.; a sister, Dagma (Hans) Gรถrlish of Mianz, Germany; a son-in-law, Mitch Ihler; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bundrick was predeceased by a daughter, Elaine Ihler.

Ute was my grandmother, or my Omi. My older brother and I used to visit her in South Carolina as children, but once my mother (Ute's daughter) passed away we didn't get a chance to anymore. Some of my fondest childhood memories were around her and my grandfather. I feel so terribly surpressed that I did t get to say goodbye and thank her for all of her love and the birth of my amazing mother that sadly I didn't get to know very well and was taken much too early. She is missed by all of her family on the West coast and I know that there is nothing I wouldn't do to have her still around me. I know she is looking over me with my mother taking care of all of us. I just learned today of Ute's passing. I am so sorry. I was looking forward to being her neighbor when we retire next year and getting to know her better. She was a sweet lady. My deepest sympathy to Cecil and the family.

My deepest condolenses go out to the Ute's husband and family. Ute was a sweet lady and I knew her many years. I used to groom her little dog. love to all the family

I was so sorry to hear of Ute's death. She was a special lady and helped all of us at MCMS in any way she could. Sympathy to all her family.
