Robert Miller

Robert Wayne Miller, 50, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at his residence.

Born on August 7, 1961, in Proctorville, OH, he was a son of William F. “Bill” Miller and Trudy Davis Miller. He was a commercial sales manager at Advanced Auto Parts in Lexington and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. While in high school he was an all state wrestler. He loved Lake Murray where he enjoyed bass fishing and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Mr. Miller is survived in addition to his parents, Bill and Trudy Miller of Prosperity by his wife, Marcia Hipp Miller; a daughter, Shannon Miller of Proctorville, OH; a step-daughter, Allison (Matt) Elswick of Chapin; step-son, Kyle Moore of Prosperity; sisters, Sondra Hansford of Irmo and Terry Bellville of Prosperity; a brother, Billy Joe Miller of Proctorville, OH and a grandson, Spencer Elswick.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 p.m., at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Youth Group, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to Salkehatchie Summer Services (Foothills Camp, Pendleton), c/o Frankie Mullikin, 210 Mullikin Road, Liberty, SC 29651.

I did not know Robbie, but I know Marcia and how she spoke highly about him. She is a very nice down to earth person who is a pleasure to be around and you knew she loved him very much.
