Cynthia Dianne Crumpton Morris, 64, of Prosperity, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.

Born on March 26, 1948, in Prosperity, she was the daughter of Kathleen Kinard Crumpton and the late J.D. Crumpton. She was retired from the City of Newberry Finance Department and a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Essie Hawkins Circle.

Mrs. Morris is survived in addition to her mother, Kathleen Crumpton of Prosperity by her husband, James Earl Morris; a son and daughter-in-law, James Michael and Kelly Morris of Prosperity; a brother and and sister-in-law, Richard and Sheila Crumpton of Prosperity and special grandsons, Dillon Morris and Dalton Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer and Rev. Henry Brandt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Bus Fund, 4056 St. Luke's Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Andy Crumpton, John Derrick, Paul Derrick, Donnie Morris, Wade Morris and Earl Wicker.

Earl, Aunt Kat, and all of Diane's close family. I did not know about Diane until I came to the family reunion. I am so sorry for your lost. I miss her so much. Through facebook I found a great friend and I miss her. God be with all of you as time passes. Love all of ya'll.

Earl, when I got to work today I was sadden to hear about Mrs Morris.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, I have learned that with God, he will give you the strength and peace to make it through this time.
The greatest compliment to someone who has passed is to live your life, keep their memory alive and the love we know will always carry on.

I was so shocked to hear of Dianne passing away. We had just talked on the phone last week and had made plans to meet the 13th for lunch and catch up on each other. She was such a dear friend and a sweet person. You have my sincere sympathy, may God bless you all.
