Glenda Ruth Collins, 65, of Prosperity, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on February 14, 1947, in Clovis, NM, she was a daughter of Glenn and Ruth Winegeart Holland. Mrs. Collins was retired from South Carolina Oncology Associates and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She was reared in Fort Sumner, NM. On June 6, 1965 in Fort Sumner, she married the love of her life Bill Collins. They made their home in South Carolina for the past 45 years.

She is survived by her husband, William W. Collins, Jr.; a son, William W. Collins III; her parents, Glenn and Ruth Holland of Fort Sumner, NM; a brother, Mel Holland and his wife, Pat of Ruidoso, NM and their children, Brad (Kasi) Holland and Brooke (Ryan) Roper all of Alto, NM; a sister, Nancy Giannini of Fort Sumner, NM and her children, Michelle (Lyndel) Bonds of Fort Sumner, NM, Marcus Giannini of Albuquerque, NM and Michael Giannini of Fort Sumner, NM; special great nieces and nephews, Aubrey and Tra'von Bonds, Faith Roper, Jordan and Derrick Holland.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Bill & William, I am truely heartbroken to hear of Glenda's passing.. Thinking of all the fun & great memories of many years at Kayser-Roth together. Glenda shared in my wedding & the birth of my daughter. She has been so much more than words could ever express. She is a special angel. Just know that I share in your pain but she is at rest. So sorry about your loss; Glenda was a dear friend of mine for many years. I know that God is rejoicing today to have Glenda by His side; she is no longer in pain nor suffering, what a Blessing that is for you. Bill and William, I am So Sorry to hear about Glenda. She was a super Lady and I enjoyed spending time with ya'll when she worked for Kenney at Bilo. We had lots of good times and great Memories.
