Frances Fulmer Wicker, 90, of Newberry, widow of Earl Pinner Wicker, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at White Oak Manor.

Born on November 24, 1924, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Lillie Bedenbaugh Fulmer. She formerly worked at Old School Manufacturing and was a member of Clayton Memorial Universalist Church.

Mrs. Wicker is survived by granddaughters, Codie Ruff and Amy Parks; great-grandchildren, Carli Ruff, Cade Ruff, Cassi Ruff, Whitney Parks and Wyatt Parks and a daughter-in-law, Carol Rowe. She was predeceased by a son, David Earl Wicker.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2015, at Clayton Memorial Universalist Church by the Rev. Jim Davis. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 210, Columbia, SC 29210 or to Clayton Memorial Universalist Church, 334 Clayton Memorial Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Please accept my condolences. Ms. Frances told me, the one time I met her, that she loved her family and knew they loved her, too. They had a floor installed in her home so she would not trip on carpet. She was a sweet person.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Francis passing. I have known her since David and I were I elementary school at St. Phillips. She was a very sweet lady. I know all will miss her.
