James David “J.D.” Shealy, 58, of Newberry died October 27, 2015 at his residence.
Born on September 22, 1957, in Newberry, he was a son of the late William and Mary Campbell Shealy. He was employed by Champion Automotive and was the former owner of Shealy Service Center. He was a Past Master of Amity Lodge #87, a member of the Newberry York Rite, a Past President of the Newberry Shrine Club, and a member of the Hillbilly Clan #2.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Coats Shealy; a sister, Kimberley Shealy of Newberry; brothers, Barry (Amy) Shealy of Newberry and Larry Shealy of West Columbia; his mother-in-law, Gladys Coats of Newberry; sister-in-law, Suzanne (John) Summer of Newberry; nieces and nephews, Jenna and Jacob Shealy, Holly Lee, and Cadie (Joey) Bodie; a great-niece Evelyn Bodie; and his dog, Cody.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or P.A.W.S., 2414 Dennis Dairy Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Honorary pall bearers will be Past Masters of the Amity Lodge#87 and Past Presidents of the Newberry Shrine Club.

Jimmy and I were shocked and saddened to learn of JD's passing. He will definitely be missed by so many. He was a great person and touched so many lives. Heaven has certainly gained another precious angel. I hope you can find comfort in knowing so many of your friends will be praying for you all.
