Sam was one of God’s most gentle souls. He will be sorely missed. He was a true Renaissance man in every sense. A delight to have in the classroom, he loved learning for the sake of learning. Working with him on lights and sound for the Community Players, hearing him sing and riding in his boat on Lake Murray are some of my most treasured memories. My sincere condolences to his family and the Mid-Carolina community.
#20 Ron Chrisley 2017-12-15 10:18
Condolences to the Jeffcoat family. He always presented himself as as a man of dignity, character & professionlism. I only knew Sam from a business perspective, but I'm sure he treated family, and others with respect & dignity, that he did me.
May he be cradled in the arms of our Lord Forevermore.

I treasure the brief time I had to make music with Sam in the Palmetto Mastersingers. His attention to detail, joy of singing, and frustration with anything that wasn't excellent were a great blessing to me and the Singers who shared his love of music. He will remain in our hearts as will his family in our prayers.

I played in many different bands with Sam during my years at Mid Carolina and afterwards. One of these bands, the Mid Carolina version of the "Blues Brothers", will always be my favorite. Most folks don't know that the drum set I played in the Blues Brothers came from Sam's home; it was his brother's set and I still have it! Oh, the many memories with Sam and music! I am so saddened by his lost and I pray for our God's Comforts for his family, friends, and all who love him!!!
