I'on Warren Stuck, 80, of Little Mountain, passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 24, 1940, in Richland County, the only child of Bunce and Janie Koon Stuck.

I'on was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was an accountant and administrative manager for Owens Illinois for some 30 years. After his retirement from Owens Illinois, he went to work as an accountant for the SC Lutheran Synod, which wasn't a job for him but a way he was able to use his talents for the work of the Lord. He truly enjoyed that job. He was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pomaria where he was very active in church activities such as serving on the church council, serving as treasurer and teaching Sunday School. He was a Shriner and a Mason. He was very dedicated to his family, his friends and his church.

I'on is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annie Rose Koon Stuck and a daughter, Karen (David) Hamill of Florence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2020, at St. John's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Mike Watson. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit friends following the graveside. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 622 Hope Station Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be Ray Boland, Al Koon, Carey Metts, Brad Ruff, Tony Cromer, Vernon Counts and Keith Harris.

Due to COVID 19 everyone is reminded of the social distancing requirements and masks are strongly encouraged.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Due to the virus, daddy didn’t come although it broke his heart not to b there. Have lots of great memories of I’on. I know he is at peace now. We love you all! All of our family sending hugs and sympathy!

Annie Rose and Karen, It is with heavy heart that I just heard about I'on. I am so sorry that I did not even know he was sick. I have been unable to drive for a long time so had no way of visiting. I had nothing but the best of memories of working with him. He was an honorable man and well respected. I know there will be a great hole left with his leaving. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless and keep you in His care.

Family, I am sorry to learn about Ion’s Death! I had the opportunity to work with him for a number of years at the SC Synod Office when I served on the Finance Committee. Dear Karen and Annie Rose... I know that this has been a long journey; I’m grateful he doesn’t have to suffer the effects of illness any longer. Having been through the illnesses and deaths of both Mike and John, I can say that caregiving is very difficult assignment. I hope you find time to rest and regroup. Prayers for you all.
