Thomas Lewis “T.L.” Brown, 93, of Newberry, widower of Sallie Summer Brown, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland.
Born on October 6, 1927, in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Tom W. and Luda Willard Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired contractor and a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Bill (Joyce) Brown of Newberry; a daughter, Dianne Livingston of Pomaria; grandchildren, Rodney (Traci) Livingston, Tonya (Jamey) Mills, William (Kajah) Brown and B.J. Brown; great-grandchildrne, Andrew, Ashley, Taylor, Hailey, Wesley and Jessica; his girlfriend, Gladys Pickelsimer and a special neighbor, Buddy (Susan) Lester. He was predeceased by a son, Lewis Brown, a son-in-law, David Livingston and eight brothers and a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, PO Box 1106, Newberry, SC 29108. The family will be at his residence on Thursday and Friday from 1:00 – 6:00 pm to receive family and friends and will receive following the service at the graveside.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Ruff, Tommy Griffin, Dale Shealy, Rodney Livingston, Wesley Livingston, William Brown, Andrew Brown and B.J. Brown.
