Ginger, we wish to express our sympathy for the loss of your mother. She brought laughter to the group during our times of volunteering to read Bible stories at the nursing home. Especially during one of your visits when your mother learned that she was the same age,89, as Sarah was when Sarah was told that the following year she would have a baby. It was to you, Ginger, that Ms Pitts told us she remembered the story about Jacob and shared with you. She also heard why we die from the account of Adam and Eve and that even though we may die, we are in God’s memory from the account of Abel. We will miss her.

Mrs. Pitts was one of my favorite residents. Every morning she had a smile on her face. I loved it when she called me "sugar" with her sweet southern drawl. To Tony, Ginger, Zach, and Buck: even though I never had the pleasure of meeting you all, know that she spoke of you every day. She clearly loved her family, the only thing she might have loved more is God (but the Lawrence Whelk show is a definite third).I just found out the news today and while I usually pride myself in my ability to keep my composure when a patient leaves us, but today my heart is heavy. I will always remember her, she was someone who left a lasting impression on me, I can only imagine the holes in your own hearts right now. I wish I would have been able to see her one last time. Thank you for sharing such an amazing person with us at JF Hawkins. God bless.
