Please know my thoughts and prayers have been with Ricky’s family during this difficult time. Larry and Jerrie, you know we go back many years as teens. Ricky and I have been friends for 54 years. He was a member of our neighborhood gang which seemed to always hang out off the corner of Copeland Street, better known as the McDowell corner. He was a special person in the entire McDowell family. I talked to him on Monday evening, not knowing it would be the last time we would talk. I am sad he is no longer on this earthly ground, but thankful he is in no more pain and sadness. As special he was to me, he was also a friend to so many. RIP, my friend .

Rest in peace Ricky, thanks for the memories at old Ford High, Larry and family im sorry for your loss.He was a good soul . Glad i got to see him last month,if i knew it would be the last time in this world, i would have stayed a little longer but i could tell he was tired and hurting.I take comfort knowing he hurts no more. Last thing he told was he loved me,the feeling mutual for both Barker boys,, Till we meet again Ricky Godspeed !
