Frank Heaps, Jr., 74, died Friday, October 19, 2018, at Newberry Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 12, 1944, in Jellico, Tennessee, he was the son of Frank Heaps, Sr., and Alene Heaps, both deceased.  He was a graduate of Woodward High School and a member of the Ohio National Guard. Starting as a crew member at fifteen, he worked his way up through McDonalds Corporate management becoming a National Field Service Manager with territories including mainland U.S, Hawaii, and Guam.  He retired from Corporate to own two McDonalds franchises.  In 1991, he began his second career at the Chevrolet dealership in Newberry, now Stokes-Trainor, where he worked until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Davison Heaps;  son, Frank Heaps, III, (Meredith); daughter, Alisha Lynn Polkowsky (Matthew); and grandchildren, Christopher Davison Heaps, William Alexander Polkowsky, Madeline Olivia Casteel, and Erik James Polkowsky.  Frank is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Wayne Heaps (Mary) and Hugh Von Heaps (Sue), of Toledo, Ohio.

Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and watching auto racing.

There will not be formal funeral arrangements.

Linda - the whole family has been in my thoughts and prayers. Frank was a very respected person back in his McDonald's days, and inspired employees do follow in his footsteps. I told you about the success story of one of his people. Please give the kids & grandkids hugs from me. Love you...
