Bobb Anthony “Bobby” Lindley, 82, of Prosperity, died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at his residence.

Born on May 3, 1937 in Orangeburg, he was a son of the late J.B. and Victoria Bobb Lindley. He was a graduate of Newberry College, retired from Monsata of Greenwood and following retirement worked at Lowe's and Stockmans Lands Mr. Lindley served in the S.C. National Guard and was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church. He officiated high school football for 45+ years and enjoyed farming.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Harper Lindley; a daughter, Janet Elizabeth Lindley (James Mann); grandchildren, Wyman Anthony Lindley, Wyatt Albert Lindley and Alice Victoria Mann. He was predeceased by a brother, Wyman Steele Lindley.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Mark Dellinger. Burial will follow in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Glenn Street Baptist Church, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29018 or to the Talking Book Services, 1500 Senate Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
