Hazel Waymon Bostic, 90, of Newberry, widower of Frances Lee Bostic, died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 16, 1929 in Whitmire, he was a son of the late Julian D. and Eula O'Dell Bostic. He was retired from Kendall Company – Oakland Plant and Champion Buidling Products. Mr. Bostic was a US Army veteran and a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #87 AFM and a charter member of the Beaver Dam Fishing Club.

He is survived by sons, Mike (Sandra) Bostic of Laurens and Randy Bostic of Signal Hill, CA; a granddaughter, Kim (John) Brock of Simpsonville and great-grandchildren, Tyler Shipman and Garrett Shipman. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Becky Riley.

A private graveside service will be held at Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Glenn Street Baptist Church, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29108 or to the charity of one's choirce.

Randy, Mike and Sandra I’m so sorry to hear about your dad...people get so busy with their lives we forget how fast it goes by...it’s been over 20+ years since I’ve seen Waymon and I hate I didn’t make a better effort...Frances and Waymon were my great Aunt and Uncle and I loved them dearly...Randy and Mike it’s been longer than that since I’ve seen you guys...
