Janis was my best friend in High School and I’ll never forget when Donald, y’all started dating. It was love, never a doubt in my mind.
I hate she missed the last reunion but we had plans to get together and catch up. I’m hoping we still can do that one day. She was so kind, and sweet. I loved everything about her and all the family. Truly so sorry Donald and family. She adored you all. God be with you in the days ahead. Y’all will be in our prayers.

Don, Melissa, Mandy, Joey and families,
All of us are absolutely heartbroken over the loss of Janis. I found out right about bedtime last night and immediately texted my girls. They had the same exact reaction I did and were every bit as sad and grieving as I was. We all thought SO highly of Janis. She was one of the the kindest, sweetest souls we’ve ever known. I know she leaves a huge void in your family. Please know how much we loved her and your family and we are grieving with you. Share all your wonderful memories of her with each other, both ones you shared individually with her and especially the ones shared as a family. It’s helped my girls and me to do this. Lots of special times and lots of love. May our Lord & Savior watch over your family and give you comfort and strength to see you through the difficult days, weeks, and months ahead.
Love & Prayers to each of you,
Kim & Ashleigh
Breanne, Jeremy & Aubree

Joey, Don, and girls,

I was so very saddened to hear of Janis's death yesterday. I remember very well on 9/11 when we heard the news of the twin towers while we were doing "Meals on Wheels". We both were very frightened about what was going on in our country and Janis was particularly concerned about Joey as he was on a business trip and was flying.

May God comfort all of you and give you peace during this very difficult time.

Juleen
