Ernest Jack Wilson, Jr., 81, of Pomaria, died Monday, January 18, 2021, at his residence.
Born on June 1, 1939, in Wilmington, NC, he was a son of the late Ernest Jack Wilson, Sr. and Agnes Cornelia Hornsby Wilson. He had served in the US Navy and retired from SCE&G after 34 years of service. Mr. Wilson was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In his youth he had been a handball champion and throughout his life enjoyed playing golf and had been a member of the Lexington Country Club for a number of years. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Kathy Ruff Wilson; daughters, Terri (Scott) Ellis of Weddington, NC, Karen (Patrick) Able and Jackie Putnam both of Lexington and Kim (Bill) Hester of Prosperity; a brother, Donald Hornsby Wilson of Leesville; grandchildren, Christopher Ellis, Barbara Ellis, Ian Able, Lindsey Able, Gracen Hester and Stanton Hester; a great-grandson, Noah Able and his former wife, Barbara Ann Wilson of West Columbia.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Arden Hallman. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to the Pomaria Rescue Squad, PO Box 192, Pomaria, SC 29126.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jeff Hook, Dr. Lee Jordan and MSA Hospice for their loving care that they provided to Jack over the years.

I am very saddened to hear about Mr. Jacks passing. He was such a kind man. I will be praying for you and Kim and all of Mr. Jacks family. Please taking comfort in knowing that Mr. Jack is now whole and healthy and in Heaven with Jesus. He wouldn't come back now if he could! I love you!
