Chad Allen Bickley, 42, of Newberry, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Born on December 4, 1978, in Columbia, he was the son of Randy Marion and Pamela Massey Bickley. He was the plant manager for Palmetto Pallet and attended Freedom Baptist Church. Chad was a die-hard Georgia Bull Dog fan.

He is survived in addition to his parents, Randy and Pam Bickley of Newberry by his wife, Katie H. Bickley; a son, Allen Michael Bickley of Prosperity; a daughter, Madison Victoria Bickley of Newberry; a sister, Hope Bickley (Michael Douglas) Evans of Whitmire; father-in-law, James Hatcher of Prosperity; nieces and nephews, Hannah Evans, Haven Evans and Kaleb Evans; great-nephews, Kamryn Evans and Langstyn Evans; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a step-son, Wade Chamblee.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to McSwain-Evans Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.

Due to COVID 19 everyone is reminded of social distancing requirements and masks will be strongly encouraged.

I've only talked to Chad a few times. I work at Nationwide. But he was so energetic each time, just paying his bill. I asked him about his tattoos and he gave me the name and phone number of the artist. And through the small interactions I've had with him, I know his family will be missing the bright light that effortlessly radiated from him.

Mrs Pam, Mr Randy, Hope, Katie, Allen, and Madison I am sorry for your loss. Chad and I haven't spoke in many years due to a misunderstandin g, but he was still my best friend for most of our lives. Almost all of my memories of growing up have him in them. We were joined at the hip for more years than either of us could count. I known no words ease your pain, but I hope they will give you strength to get through this horrible time. I still love you all and miss you dearly.

Like so many others I was heartbroken to learn of his passing I had the pleasure of working with him at Palmato Pallet he could fix anything that was broken he was truly gifted and down to earth person .
