Tommy Lee Metts, 79, of Little Mountain, died Thursday, June 9, 2011.
Born on June 20, 1931, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Callie Bembridge and Ara Cannon Metts. Mr. Metts was a retired U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea and was a member of the National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge AFM 280 and the Order of Eastern Star # 276 of Little Mountain.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bickley Metts; a sister, Bernice Turner of Newberry and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Haskell Metts, Voight Metts, Claude Metts, George Metts and Charles Metts
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Stoudemayer. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt.
