Ms. Elaine Babb Blackmon, 68, of Rock Hill passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at her home.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church, 234 East Main Street, Rock Hill, with the Rev. John Pruitt officiating. A private burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park – S. Cherry Road.

A native of Laurens County, S.C., Elaine was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Moore Babb. She was a retired real estate agent with over 30 years of service to clients of York County and surrounding areas. She was also a member of the Woman’s Club of Rock Hill and Vice-President of the Highland Park Tenants Association. She loved her church family and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.

Surviving are two sons, Will Blackmon and wife, Leah, of Newberry, S.C., and Lee Blackmon and wife, Teresa, of Daniel Island, S.C.; two daughters, Allison Blackmon McQueen and husband, Dan and Lisa Blackmon McKaughan and husband, Will, all of Rock Hill; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her beloved Schnauzer, Tinker Bell.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Elaine will be held at First Presbyterian Church immediately following the memorial service.
