Mrs. Willard Caldwell Bickley, 82, of Newberry, widow of Cecil M. Bickley died, March 4, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Newberry on August 13, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Hobson and Phoebe Perry Caldwell. She was a retired lunch room employee with the Newberry County Public Schools and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and following her grandson while he played baseball.
She is survived by sons, Jerry (Nancy) Bickley, Randy (Pam) Bickley, and Jimmy (Debra) Bickley all of Newberry; daughters, Karen Bickley of the home and Robin Laws of Tennessee; sisters Sudie Berry of Saluda, Ozie Krell of Prosperity, and Joyce Harling of Edgefield; brothers, Hubert Caldwell of Newberry, Heyward Caldwell of Idaho, and Ted Caldwell of Saluda; grandchildren, Eric Bickley, Heidi Powell, Chad Bickley, Hope Evans, Nicole Bickley, and Jake Bickley; great-grandchildren, Allen Bickley, Madison Bickley, Shyanne Powell, Hannah Evans, Haven Evans, and Kaleb Evans. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Forrest.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marian Dyer. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2442 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to Hands of Hospice, 2858 Sunset Boulevard, W. Columbia, SC 29169.
Active pall bearers will be, Nick Davenport, Wayne Cassady, Russell Kibler, Jim Ringer, Shealy Counts, and Butch Price.
Honorary pall bearers will be, Dixie Counts, Carol Lively, Betty Bishop, Juanita Thomasson, Linda Pitts, Brenda Alexander, and Barbara Cromer.
The family would like to thank the staff of Reliant Hospice and Dr. Alan Paysinger and staff of Newberry Internal Medicine.

We were so sorry to hear about Ms. Willard. She was a dear sweet Lady and will be greatly missed. Cherish those "Precious Memories" and know that wrapped in every memory is the LOVE that you Shared and Love lives Forever.
I know she had a Happy Homecoming with Mr. Cecil and Our Father in Heaven.
