Annette and Ben: I am truly and utterly saddened by the loss of Glenn...I started off at Whitten in 1981 in the Records Dept., leaving Whitten in 1992 and transferring to Coastal. In all my years at Whitten Center, Glenn never met a stranger and always had a smile on his matter what he was doing, he gave it 150 percent! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Annette, and with your son, Ben. My heart is breaking for you both...may God bless you and keep you safe. Please accept my utmost sympathy for you, Ben, and the rest of the Bledsoe and Williams family.

It is with deep heart felt sympathy that I send my condolences to Glenn's family. I can remember as a little girl my daddy (Todd Frazier) A.K.A "Chief", Glenn, Jamie Patrick, Calvin Young, Buddy Bridges, etc. all being buddies and playing basketball. As I was older I would run into Glenn or Ms. Annette in Clinton or Newberry, both always had a smile on their faces! I never have been around Benjamin much, but I do remember thinking he looked just like his Daddy when he was a little boy. I hear you (Ben) are a great golfer. I know that this is so hard to go through. We just lost Elaine Frazier (Granny) last May, and I (WE) still grieve everyday. The only thing I can tell you to do is GIVE IT TO GOD. His plan is perfect even when it hurts so badly. It is hard to see through trials, but one day we will see the day of an UNCLOUDY DAY! Amen to that. Sometimes I just sit and weep because I miss my Granny, but I have to cry to relieve the pressure. So when you need to cry, do it. Don't hold back. Carry on the best you can, but let God be the Captain of your ship. TO MR. Eddy favorite Study hall teacher a WHS who never let us hardly say one word! LOL! too are in my prayers. I didn't know all of his family, but this entire message is for all of you, even friends that miss him so dearly. I love you all. MAy God be with you all.

Annette and Ben- It was indeed a pleasure to have met Mr. Glenn Bledsoe at Whitten some 14 years ago. The day I met him, it was if I had known him my entire life. I never saw a frown on his face. He knew all of the consumers names and they would smile whenever they saw him. I know he is smiling down on us now! May God continue to give you strength to move forward in your life without him, and just know that he may not be with you physically but in spirit! God Bless all of you!!

Dear Annette & Benjamin,
There are just no words to describe how saddened we were when we heard the news about Glen. I remember the first day at Whitten Center I met Glen. He has truly been a great friend over my 25+ years here at Whitten. Glen will be greatly missed by all. Glen was an outstanding man, always smiling and giving of his time. Everyone was equal in Glen's eyes - he was always nice and helpful to everyone he met. Benjamin, he was so proud when you were born - he talked about you all the time and the things that the two of you did together. Always remember the good times the two of you had together. Whitten will never be the same without Glen - he gave so much to the consumers that we serve here - he went above and beyond his duty. He will truly be missed by all. Please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. May God give you the peace that only he can give at this time in both of your lives. Walter & Anne Lawrence

Words can't express the heartfelt sympathy we have for the entire Bledsoe family at this time. Knowing the family as my extended family really touches my heart. Glenn was like a brother to me and also touched my heart for many years my sister was a resident at Whitten Center, he always went over and beyond. To the entire Bledsoe family have comfort in the words at Revelation 21:3,4. I cant be with you due to just having surgery but I will always be with you in spirit. I love you all so much.

Annette, Benjamin, Ikie, Eddie, Marcy, Dan, and all of those who loved this wonderful, kind, and funny man: I keep hearing the phrase in my head "his candle burned out long before his legend ever will" and I fully understand this now. Glenn met no strangers, loved even those who were sometimes forgotten, and added richness to all of our lives and he will never be gone in our lives because of all he gave to others. Most of all, Annette and Benjamin, I have never seen someone who loved his family more...He beamed whenever he spoke of you. I know he is watching over you still. I am heartsick and Russell, Haley Clare, and I want you all to know we love you. Susan, Russell, and Haley Clare Satterfield-Suber

I took this so much harder than anyone expect I would. Everytime I think or speak of this tragedy I cry like a baby. Glenn was my dad's "Lee Moss AKA Frog's" best friend for around 50 years, so Glenn has known me since I was born. I just recently over the past year started seeing a lot of him again out at daddy's house. Everytime he would hug me so tight , tell me he loved me, & ask how the rest of my family was doing. I believe the reason I took it so hard is he is probably 1 of only 2 or 3 men that I have the upmost respect for. He was by far one of the most wonderful if not the most wonderful men I have ever known. He always made me smile with my heart when I saw him. So genuine & incredible. I will miss him more than anyone ever would have thought. I love you Glenn. And my heart aches for Annette & Benjamin, I can't even begin to imagine their suffering. In my heart forever, Erica Anderson "Frog's daughter".

Annette and Benjamin-
There was never a more energetic and humble champion of those we serve. Glenn was always there to cheer on and celebrate with all of our athletes. If anything needed to be done, he was there to lend a hand, and always made sure that the athletes were given the accolades they worked so hard for. He will be missed by us all. I know he will always be smiling down on us. May God bless you. We love you.

Glenn was one of those special people who you always enjoyed seeing, whose smile was instant when he saw you, and who left you feeling good that it was a day that he passed your way. So many messages on this site tells of how friendly he was to everyone. He just endeared himself to all who knew him. To all of his family, May God give you an abundance of strength, and peace, even more than you need to get through this time. So many are praying for all of you. You are in His strong hands.

Glen's smile and gregarious personality were the first I encountered when beginning my employment at Whitten Center 6 years ago. His heart was one the greatest I have known, his compassion for our individuals with "other"-abilitites and his integrity in service are what I will remember. My prayers for family and friends are that Glen's example will encourage others and serve to enhance each of our relationships with the Lord to remember, even in death, that His grace and mercy are greater than we can ever understand.

I lost my wife of 47 years back in July and it pains. Just remember, we never loose the ones we love, they live in our hearts forever. I got to know Glenn by coming down every year for the Whitten Center Golf Tournament. I have never met a finer individual. His presence will be missed. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I was so saddened to hear about Glen's death. My mom and Glen were hired at Whitten Center on the same day and I grew up hearing so many stories about Glen. In middle/high school I was lucky enough to be involved with different activites at Whitten Center and really got to know Glen myself. He was a remarkable man, and gave so much of himself to his friends at Whitten Center. It was also wonderful to see a man who loved his wife and son so very much. I am thankful for God allowing me meet Glen. I pray God gives his wife, son and work family the strength and peace they need to get through this time. I know this is so hard, but heaven has so much more joy there now that Glen is with our heavenly father. God Bless, Susan Motes B.

Glenn was a true American icon whose life epitomized the values of love, caring, and service that we all strive for. His never ending dedication to the disabled individuals at Whitten Center endeared him to them and their families. Annette and Benjamin, the Whitten Center Parents’ Club sends our love and condolences for your loss. Glenn will be greatly missed, but may it be comforting to know that his passion to volunteer his services for all who knew him will surely be rewarded in heaven.

Glenn was a great guy! I knew him from when I worked at Whitten Center. He loved the clients at Whitten and did an excellent job as the director of Volunteer Services. I have seen him occasionally since leaving W.C.and he always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say! I know he will be missed by his family and friends! I am praying for all of you.

To write it, somehow makes it real and I don't want that to be, so I hesitate. Family, Each of you, we hurt with you. May peace, not of this world, but only that God can give to you, come and hold you at this terrible time. This is so not fair.
Know we love you , always.

I wanted to share with you a poem someone sent me last year when my Father passed away. I pray this poem will give you comfort as it did for me. I love you my 1978 NHS class friend...

My First Christmas in Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below. With tiny lights like Heaven's stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular please wipe away the tear. For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring, for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how you miss me I see the pain inside your heart. But I am not so far away we really aren't apart.

So be happy for me dear ones, you know I hold you dear. And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift from my heavenly home above. I sent you each a memory of my undying love.

After all love is a gift more precious than pure gold. It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other as my Father said to do. For I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you.

So have a merry Christmas and wipe away that tear. Remember I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

We are so sad to hear of Glen's passing. I worked with him for 20 years ans found him to be a great co-worker and friend. He truly enjoyed his job and always took time to stop and listen to the clients no matter how busy his was. He was an asset to Whitten Center and the community who will be greatly missed by many. May God give you peace and comfort during this time of sorrow.

Annette, please know that you, Ben and the rest of the Bledsoe Family are in my thoughts and prayers. Know that God is your strength during this time and He will see you through. As you may recall, I worked with you and
Glen at Whitten Center for years. I also remember when you and Glen came to my rescue a several years ago when I locked my keys in the trunk of my calr while visiting the gravesites of my love ones at Bush River Baptist Church. I called you all and you all did not hesitate to come and help me. I am forever greatful for that! Glen was just a loving, down-to-earth person and he loved and lived life to the fullest helping whoever he could when he could! To God be the Glory! Love always, (Rev.) Sarah Williams, Clinton, SC
