Sarah Williams Morris, 96, formerly of Prosperity, widow of Howard Richard Morris, died September 18, 2016 at White Oak Manor in Newberry.

Born on July 8, 1920 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Estelle King Williams. She retired from Old School Manufacturing Company and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a sister, Louise Morris; a son-in-law, Melvin Black; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters Faye Rinehart, Reda Black and Brenda Black; and by a son, Tommy Morris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00PM Monday, September 19, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 PM Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to The American Cancer Society c/o Jennifer Rogers, 303 West Alexander, Suite 1, Greenwood, SC 29646.

God has another angel on his hand. Sarah was a hoot. I remeber as a kid..her driving that big tank of a car up to the family reunions.I will always remember her.

Mrs. Sarah and my Mother, Carolyn Shealy, were roommates for a few months last year. She always had a smile on her face when we walked into the room. If she was in the room. She was 'on the go' whenever she was able. Your family has my deepest sympathy.
