Margaret Allison “Maggie” Foster, 80, of Newberry, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 29, 1940 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel Harrison and Harriet Bridges Allison. She retired from South Carolina Bank and Trust and was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church in Vance, SC. She was a Past Worthy Matron with the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved spending time in the swimming pool and was a great cook. Maggie loved her family and friends dearly and was accepting of all people.

She is survived by her husband, David Scott Foster; a son, Steve (Shelby) Eyre of Newberry; a daughter, Charlene (Fred) McManus of Lexington; a step-daughter, Carmen (Chet) Snouffer of Delaware, OH;  sisters, Carolyn Clayton of Cumberland, MD and Deloris Storm of Myrtle Beach ; a brother, Jim Allison of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Lucy Floyd, Rick McManus, Sarah McManus, Ryan Vikan, Jeremy Vikan, Cody Snouffer, Lydia Bush, and Lyssi Snouffer; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Allison.

A celebration of life will be held in Cumberland, MD at a later date.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and the family. Hopefully Dave and Steve are doing well. I know it is a loss but having family and friends helps. It helped me get througb my loss. Just remember all the cherishable times you had. My prayers agaon to you and the family.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family. I had the opportunity of driving her to doctors appt.several times and we became friends. She even shared one of her many bracelets with me.Praying for all.

I can't imagine how much your heart is hurting now!! Please try to find comfort in knowing she's with Dad now lookin down on ALL of us!

Thank you for all you have done for me throughout my life. I am comforted having the best mother I could ever hope for. I miss you terribly already, but I am comforted in knowing you are reunited with your family and loved ones. I love you.
