Adelaide H. Jones

Adelaide Haltiwanger Jones, 85, of Little Mountain, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her residence.

Born on August 21, 1928, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur L. and Carrie Koon Haltiwanger. She attended Columbia Business College and was retired from Weisz Graphics of Chapin. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Columbia.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 67 years, Hugh B. Jones; daughters, Penny (Barry) Hamby of Little Mountain, Cheryl (Marshall) Casey of Irmo and Bonnie (Ric) Caponi of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by six sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 12, 2014, at Main Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joe Cal Watson. Entombment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3225 Sunset Blvd, Suite 100, W. Columbia, SC 29169.
