Alan Senn

James Alan Senn, Jr., 68, of Silverstreet, died peacefully in his home on March 1, 2025.

Born on July 28, 1956, in Newberry, he was a son of the late James Alan Senn Sr and Dorothy “Dot” Lominack Senn.

Alan was a loving and patient husband, father and “Papa.” He offered a friendly smile to all he met. He was his grandbaby’s best friend. He loved his family and was a man of faith. He was a lifelong member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church. Alan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors in general. He loved listening to Willie Nelson and watching NASCAR on Sundays after church.

He enjoyed his employment for the last 30 years primarily running a bulldozer for F.D. Riley & Sons.

He was the husband of Barbara Hooper Senn, father to Olivia (Tucker) Crawford and Sierra (Jordy) Cervantes, and grandfather to Hudson Crawford. He was the brother to Brenda Parker, Vickie Davenport and Steve Senn.

Alan was predeceased in addition to his parents, Alan and Dot Senn by a sister, Nancy Graham.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dan Ratchford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorials may be made to the Smyrna Presbyterian Church Build Fund, 32 Smyrna Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

His happy and easy going nature is greatly missed by his family and anyone blessed to have known him.
