James Alan Senn, Sr., 92 of Silverstreet, died April 1, 2016 at his residence.
Born on November 23, 1923 in Silverstreet, he was a son of the late Walter Wallace and Lucy Mae Lake Senn. He was a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the Adult Sunday school class and was a former Deacon. He was a former member of the Silverstreet Fire Department and enjoyed playing and coaching church league softball.
He is survived by his wife,Dorothy Lominack Senn; sons, James Alan Senn, Jr. (Barbara) of Silverstreet, and Steven Douglas Senn (Julianne) of Newberry; daughters, Brenda Parker (Ronnie) of Graniteville, and Vickie S. Davenport of Silverstreet; a son-in-law, Kenneth Graham of Pomaria; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy S. Graham; sisters, Annie Chunn and Margaret Duckett; brothers, David Senn, Walter Senn, Forrest Senn, Harry Senn, Larry Senn and Carl Senn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2016, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dan Ratchford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Smyrna Presbyterian Church building fund, 32 Smyrna Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be Kenny Graham, Jr., Jacob Graham, Jackson Graham, Travis Griffin, Clifford Griffin and Tim Amick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.
