Albert Boland

Albert Boland, 70, of Little Mountain, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Born in Newberry, March 11, 1953, he was a son of the late Gordon Boland and Mary Lizzie “BoBo” Boland.  Albert was retired from Georgia Pacific where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of Cross Point Church. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and the proudest great grandfather. Albert loved hunting, trapping, and fixing any and everything. Albert loved family more than anything and was always there to help anyone who needed him.

Albert was predeceased by a daughter Tammy Bullard.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Boland; a brother James Boland (Kay) and a sister Christine (Stanley) Boland both of Little Mountain; a son, Stacy Boland of Little Mountain and two daughters Regina Boland, and Tonya Spells (Chris) of Little Mountain; granddaughters, Caitlin Branch (Zach), Sarah Smith, Alexis Black (Lazarus), Alicia Kilburn, Destiny Harris and Rayne Harris; grandsons Kody Jones, Tyler Boland, Matthew Hughes (Josilyn), Damion “DJ” Harris, Justin Spells and Jacob Spells; three great-granddaughters, Riley Branch, Presley Branch, and Kori Black, along with more family members and friends than can be counted.

A memorial service for Albert Boland will be conducted on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00pm  from the Chapel of McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, 1724 Main Street, Newberry, with family member, Clif Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

The family would especially like to thank those who have joined them in prayer, called, texted, messaged and emailed. It has been a difficult time and your kind words will never be forgotten.
