Alda Rae Frick Cannon, 94, of Little Mountain, widow of Roy Duman Cannon, Sr., died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at her residence.
Born on October 8, 1920, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur Roland and Nina Catherine Riddle Frick. Mrs. Cannon was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class.
She is survived by sons, Brice (Gayle) Cannon, Roy (Ann) Cannon, Ray (Charlene) Cannon and Melvin (Peggy) Cannon all of Little Mountain; daughters, Rosene (Coy) Porter of Little Mountain, Myra (Furman) Cantrell of Leesville and Dean (Jim) Chapman of Chapin; sisters-in-law, Nettie Frick of Little Mountain and Katherine Cannon of Chapin; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, J.E. Frick, Carl Frick and Kathleen Shealy and a granddaughter, Michelle Faye Cannon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at St. Peter Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dave Tholstrup. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the church organ fund or building fund, 900 Dreher Island Road, Chapin, SC 29036 or to the charity of ones choice.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Porter, Jay Cantrell, Al Chapman, Matt Holland, Andy Turner, Charlie Zobel, Tyler Zobel, Rusty Fulmer and Eldred Frick.
