Alex Kibler

Alex William Kibler, 20, of Pomaria, died Sunday, March 16, 2014.

Born on June 24, 1993 in Richland County, he was a son of Russell E. and Francelle Vaughn Kibler. He was a 2011 graduate of Mid Carolina High School and attended Piedmont Technical College. Alex was an employee of Davenport & Willingham and an Eagle Scout with Troop 222. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Club.

He is survived by his parents, Russell E. and Francelle V. Kibler; a brother, Blake E. Kibler of Pomaria; a sister, Andrea Ruth Kibler of Pomaria; maternal grandmother, Nancy Vaughn of Prosperity; his paternal grandparents, Roland and Jo Kibler of Pomaria, his great-aunt, Dot Abrams of Pomaria; his aunts, Cindy Kibler and Sheila (Anthony) Pelton both of Pomaria; uncle, Kyle (Michelle) Vaughn of Prosperity; cousins, Dillon and Blair Pelton and Max Vaughn. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Lester Vaughn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church by the Rev. Mat Brewington and Rev. Webb Belangia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church 2360 Mt. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Smith, Justin Caudill, Adam Felker, Ryan Gilliam, Rhett Chapman, Caleb Harold, Michael Hudnall, Robert Cass and numerous special friends as he touched the lives of so many and present and past members of Boy Scout Troop 222.
