Alexander LaBoda

Alexander Michael LaBoda, 38, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at his residence.

Born on October 29, 1976, in Portsmouth, VA, he was a son of Glenn LaBoda and Becky Peterson. He was a certified welding inspector for Terracon and a member of the American Welding Society.

Mr. Laboda is survived by his wife, Jennifer Garren LaBoda; a daughter, Kaitlin Michelle LaBoda; a son, Alexander Michael LaBoda II; father and step-mother, Glenn and Sheryl LaBoda; mother, Becky Peterson and brothers, Justin LaBoda and Jim Hallada; paternal grandmother, Molly LaBoda; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Buttz and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Scott Kierstead. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 – 2:45 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Blue Ridge Council, One Park Plaza, Greenville, SC 29607 or to the trust fund for Kaitlin and Alex c/o Jane Amick 222 Joe Free Road, Chapin, SC 29036 - make checks payable to First Citizens Bank.
