Alice Faye Shealy

Alice Faye Koon Bedenbaugh Shealy, 86, of Prosperity, died November 30, 2023 at White Oak Manor.

Born on September 3, 1937 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late James Lee Koon, Sr. and Agnes Hipp Koon.

Mrs. Shealy was a graduate of Newberry College and retired from First Citizens Bank. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Family Friendship Sunday School Class and served as the church treasurer for many years. She enjoyed traveling when she was able and loved her grandchildren , Corey and Grace dearly.

She is survived by her husband Robert G. Shealy; sons, J. Todd (Dennie) Bedenbaugh of Prosperity and Michael Shea (Angelia) Bedenbaugh of Prosperity; 2 grandchildren, Corey T. (Jessica) Bedenbaugh and Grace Bedenbaugh.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Jimmy Byrns Bedenbaugh; sisters, Betty Koon Shealy and Jeanette Koon Hamm; and brothers, Clarence Robert Koon and Jimmy Koon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 4, 2023 at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. R.T. Bowling. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.

Active pall bearers will be Randy Koon, Barry Koon, Bobby Chapman, Terry Koon, Dan DeFreese, Russell Bedenbaugh, Terry Fellers, Stanley Bedenbaugh, Bobby Shealy, and Tim Shealy.

Honorary pall bearers will be members of the Family Friendship Sunday School Class, Tina Bowers, Susan Shealy, Judy Hamm, Joanne Newman, Joy Fellers, and Susan Fellers.
