Amy Bowers

Amy Marie Bowers, 60, of Prosperity, died Friday, October 23, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on July 18, 1960, in Prosperity she was a daughter of Marian Sligh Bowers and the late Oscar Wheeler Bowers. She was a graduate of Mid Carolina High School and Midland Technical College. She was a member of Wightman United Methodist Church and was a huge Carolina Gamecock fan.

Ms. Bowers is survived in addition to her mother by a daughter, Jordan Cannady of Prosperity; a brother, Doug Bowers and George Bowers; grandchildren, Emily, Raelyn and Channing; her beloved canine, Otto. She was predeceased by a daughter, Randi Lee and by a brother, Mark Bowers.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 30, 2020 at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be at her residence where they will receive friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Newberry Animal Shelter.
