Annie Cromer Ariail, 86, of Pomaria, widow of William H. Ariail, passed peacefully at her home after an extended illness on Thursday, April 21, 2016.
Born on December 23, 1929, in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Eva Sanders Cromer. She was retired from SCE&G Company and was a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church of Peak. She was an avid Clemson fan.
Mrs. Ariail is survived by her son, Robert E. (Margaret) Ariail of Little Mountain; daughters, Denise (David) Blauch of Edisto Beach, Janice Best and Betty Dixon both of Chapin; grandsons, Christopher and Stephen Ariail, Pressley Best and Tred Dixon; special niece, Polly Doolittle, special cousin,Willene Shealy, sister-in-law, Mabel Cromer and special friend and caregiver, Patricia Coleman and beloved cat, Miss Callie. She was predeceased by brothers, George E. Cromer, Charlie S. Cromer and William Roy Cromer, sisters, Helen Doolittle and Ida Graham and half-sister, Ethel Mae Roof.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church by the Rev. Beverly Aurand. Burial will follow in Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church Building Fund, PO Box 9, Peak, SC 29122 or Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Reba Lake, 5101 Jollystreet Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
