Annie Berry

Annie Laura Long Berry, 80, of Newberry, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born January 2, 1930, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late George Nolan and Minnie Lee Banks Long.

Surviving are her sons, Roger (Rose) Berry of Ninety Six, Vernon (Maty) Berry, Ronnie (Charlotte) Berry and Donnie Berry all of Newberry; a sister-in-law, Doris Long of Newberry; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Berry was predeceased by her former husband, Vernon M. Berry and by her siblings, Edward Long, Marvin Long, Earl Long, Vera Longshore, Jim Long, Roy Long, Frances Neel, Viola Bouknight, Paul Long, Rosalyn Woodward, Catherine Long, and Buck Long.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2010, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. David Inman. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Epting Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1401 Milligan Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
