Annie Ruth Tyler

Annie Ruth Miller Tyler, 86, of Newberry, widow of Robert L. “Bob” Tyler, Sr., died Friday, December 28, 2012, at White Oak Manor.

Born on April 18, 1926, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Siron B. and Carrie Davis Miller. Mrs. Tyler worked for J.P. Stevens Company and retired from the Newberry County Council on Aging.

She is survived by a son, Robert L. Tyler, Jr. of Newberry and Phyllis T. Cheatham of Moncks Corner; grandchildren, Christopher Cheatham, Cara C. Hogg, Michael R. Tyler and Mitchell E. Tyler and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tyler was predeceased by sisters, Allie Mae Morris and Virginia M. Fulmer and brothers, Homer Miller, S.W. “Bo” Miler and Collie Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday, December 30, 2012, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
