Annie Sue Farmer Crumpton, 91, of West Columbia died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Heritage at the Lowman.
Born on July 29, 1927 she was a daughter of the late John Edward and Essie Butler Farmer. Mrs. Crumpton retired from Allied Signal and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, SC.
She is survived by her husband, Walter J. Crumpton; daughters, Faye C. Smith of Cayce and Trudy C. (Steve) Neese of Pelion; a brother, J.W. Farmer of Newberry; sisters, Mavis Livingston of Prosperity, Maurvoreen Morris and Sheila (Jimmie) Harmon both of Newberry; four grandchildren, Christy S. (Thomas) Ammons, Davin E. (Alinia) Smith, Amanda N. (Nicholas) Hartley, and Ryan A. (Debbie) Neese;and seven great-grandchildren, Preston Ammons, Layla Ammons, Jeremiah Smith, Sutton Smith, Hunter Hartley, Hannah Hartley, and Emily Fry. She was predeceased by brothers, Mark E. Farmer, Ira T. Farmer, Hugh M. Farmer, and J. Rufus Farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Eddie Coakley. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
