Anthony Luther “Tony” Koon

Anthony Luther “Tony” Koon, 55, of Newberry, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on September 28, 1967, in Prosperity, he was the son of the late Robert Luther and Trudy Jewel Abbott Koon Bouknight.  He had worked for Amick’s Farm.

Tony is survived by sisters, Hope Wilson of Newberry, Robbie (James) Harris of Prosperity, Cindy (Carl) Wise of West Columbia and Diane Koon of Lexington and cousins, including Danny Barrett. He is also survived by his faithful companion, his chihuahua Halley. He was predeceased by a sister, Tammy Jewel Koon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday.
