Ashley C. Bannister

Ashley Caroline Bannister, 44, of Newberry, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Born on October 9, 1978, in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Robert N. and Janice Boozer Bannister.  She was a 1997 graduate of Newberry High School and was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.

Ashley is survived by her parents, Bob and Janice Bannister of Newberry; a brother and sister-in-law, Clark and Casey Bannister of Columbia, a niece, Annabel Bannister; uncle and aunt, Neel and Jackie Boozer of Newberry and several cousins. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Horace L. “Pete” and Mazie N. Boozer, paternal grandparents, James M. and Mary Frances Bannister and an uncle, Jimmy Bannister.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dan Ratchford. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

Memorials may be made to Smyrna Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 32 Smyrna Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Longshore, Bert Neel, Scott Mayer, Brandon Boozer, George Kinard and Guerry Mayer.
