Ashley Stockton

d. June 11, 2020

Ashley Virginia Dennis Stockton, 36, of Ware Shoals, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at her residence after a lengthy and bravely fought battle with breast cancer.

A friend to many, Ashley was a kind and beautiful soul with an infectious personality and a strong faith in the Lord. As she selflessly fought her own battle with cancer, she was a loving supporter and encourager of others going through the same. Our world is a little darker, heaven is much brighter, and we know that she has been healed.

Born on December 6, 1983 in West Columbia, she was the daughter of Don and Debbie Graham Dennis. She was a 2002 graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and a graduate of Piedmont Technical College with degrees in Occupational Technology and Graphic Design. She had worked as a Graphic Designer for Park Seed Company, GeoSeed Company, and Enterprise Specialty Products. Ashley was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church of Pomaria and attended Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church of Laurens. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved the beach. Both she and her husband were advanced certified scuba divers

She is survived by her husband, W. Chad Stockton; her parents, Don and Debbie Dennis of Prosperity; paternal grandmother, Christine Dennis of Prosperity; mother-in-law, Lynn Stockton of Ware Shoals; a brother and sister-in-law, a niece, two nephews and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She is also survived by her loyal canine companions, Buddy and Moo. Ashley was predeceased by grandparents, Jay Lee Dennis, Roy and Janelle Graham and her father-in-law, Carl Stockton.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 13, 2020 at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Cameron Levi and Rev. Kendall Gilliam. Those attending are encouraged to dress causally. For those who wish to attend and remain in their cars the service will be broadcast on 89.9 FM. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of one's choice. Due to COVID 19 everyone is reminded of the social distancing guidelines that have been established and everyone attending is asked to please abide by them.
