Audra Livingston Guy

Audra Livingston Guy, 57, of Prosperity, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center. Born on May 10, 1967 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of Judy Cook Livingston and the late Furman Livingston.

She was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College and a master’s degree from Lander University. Audra was a dedicated educator for 28 years at both Saluda County School District and Newberry County School District. Audra was a life-long member of Wightman Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Audra will forever be remembered for the love, kindness and patience that she gave to all those who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and scrapbooking memories of her children and their special moments. She loved and cared for her family dearly. Her favorite role was that of grandmother. She treasured every moment with her granddaughter, Natalee, and the special bond they shared.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Arthur L. Guy; sons, Austin (Kristin) Guy of Chapin and Andrew Guy of Prosperity; granddaughter, Natalee Guy; sister, Karen (Richard) Wicker and brother, Stanley (Jana) Livingston, all of Prosperity; father in-law Gary Lee (Ann) Guy; sisters in-law and brothers in-law, Todd (Harriett) Guy, Missy (Mark) Hipp and April (Charles) Moore; nieces and nephews Scott (Krystian) Livingston, Jared Wicker, Megan (Josh) Roland, Sarah Wicker, Dustin (Jessica) Guy, Justin Guy, Emma Moore and Sam Moore; great nieces and great nephews; and special friends Tracy, Tim and Morgan Swygert. In addition to her father, Audra was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Sandra McLain.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Wightman Methodist Church in Prosperity by the Rev. Gryff Carosiello. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30pm at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Scott Livingston, Jared Wicker, Dustin Guy, Justin Guy, Jamie Cook and Tim Swygert.
