Barbara Alice Amick Bedenbaugh, 75, of Prosperity, widow of Robert Colie Bedenbaugh, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Agape Hospice.

Born on August 13, 1938, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Malcom and Lena Amick. Mrs. Bedenbaugh was retired after 47 years from B.C. Components. She was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she had served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher, was a choir member, active in the Adult Sunday School Class, and a member of the Goldies and Petrea Women's Circle. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, working in the yard with flowers and attending aerobics class.

Mrs. Bedenbaugh is survived by sons, Robert Mack Bedenbaugh and Ty Alan (Kristin) Bedenbaugh all of Chapin; a sister, Eleanor Alewine of Prosperity; a brother, Mack Amick of Newberry; grandchildren, Rachel Bedenbaugh, Taylor Bedenbaugh and Grant Bedenbaugh and daughter-in-law, Carrie Bedenbaugh. She was predeceased by a son, Benji Davey Bedenbaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randy Derrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearrers will be Jerry Alewine, Ryan Stoudemire, Rick Richardson, Doug Hipp, Rodney Bedenbaugh and Ed Zobel.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Goldies.
