Barbara Adkins

Barbara June Adkins, 67, of Newberry and formerly of Waycross, GA, widow of Junior W. Adkins, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Agape Hospice House.

Born on January 25, 1946, in Waycross, GA, she was the daughter of the late David Leroy and Josephine Beatrice Brakes Hendrix.

Mrs. Adkins is survived by sons, Harold Joyner and Clay Joyner; a daughter, Tina Joyner; brothers, Pete Hendrix, James Hendrix, Willie Hendrix and Ted Vaughn; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Hendrix.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Hoboken Cemetery in Hobeken, GA. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Music Funeral Home in Waycross, GA.
