Barbara Reeder

Barbara Harrison Reeder, 82, of Newberry, widow of Thompson Reeder, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

Born on March 23, 1929, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Elijah and Maggie Preston Harrison. Mrs. Reeder was retired from Old School Manufacturing and was a member of Enoree Baptist Church.

She is survived by a sister, Laura H. Barker of Charleston and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Clifton Harris, Jr., sisters, Joella Lever, Mary Reames Sanders, Katie Wertz and Betty Holly and brothers, Howard Harrison, Steve Harrison and E.W. Harrison.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. George Leagan. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
