Barbara Taylor Stuck, 80, of Pomaria, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 9, 1931, in the St. Philip’s Community, she was a daughter of the late George Y. and LeNora Halfacre Taylor. She was a graduate of Newberry College and an elementary teacher having retired from Little Mountain Elementary. Mrs. Stuck was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Wyman Stuck; a son, Douglas W. (Ann) Stuck of Simpsonville and grandchildren, Taylor Stuck and Anna Stuck. Mrs. Stuck was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Davis and a brother, William Edwin Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Kristy Buyok. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 622 Hope Station Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
