Barry Kohl

Barry Alfred Kohl, 48, widower of Shelly Kohl of Fountain Inn, SC passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021. He was a Foreman with McClam and Associates. Born on February 2, 1973, in Omaha, Nebraska, he was a son of the late Alfred Barry Kohl and Katherine Freeman Yourkewitz.

Anyone who knew Barry knew that there wasn’t much he loved more than his wife, Shelly, dog, Ruby, or his family. He worked in construction most of his life, but if you didn’t find him at work you would find him riding around on his beloved Harley. There were not many times when you were around Barry that you didn’t find yourself laughing. He always made sure that everyone around him was having a good time, especially if that meant he got to make someone laugh.

He is survived by his Dad, William Yourkewitz; a brother, Scott Kohl (Amber Marks) of Fredericksburg, VA.; sisters, Dorothy Kohl (Richard Jones) of Fountain Inn, SC and Christina Jones (Tim) of Whittier, CA.; nieces and nephews, Cody Pitts (Nickie), Shawn Kohl (Jessica), Katelynn Sexton (Eric), Julia Kohl (Ivan), Melissa Kohl (Tyler) and Brayden Jones, and his canine companion, Ruby.
