Beatrice B. Bobb

Alice Beatrice Bodie Bobb, 90, of Joanna, widow of Ira Lee Bobb, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the Hospice House of Laurens County.

Born on July 19, 1925, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Estelle Shealy Bodie. She was retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Bobb is survived by sons, Jerald (Betty) Bobb of Davie, FL and James (Judy) Bobb of Laurens; a daughter, Shirley Rowe of Rock Hill; sisters, Betty (Leland) Kibler of Newberry, Marzelle (John) Free of Columbia, Agatha Cook of Prosperity; and Edna Neal of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. James Shealy. Burial will follow in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Laurens County,1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Bobb, Robert Earl Bobb, Robert L. Franklin, Al Guest, Allen Neal and Tony Tinsley.
