Bennie Albert Bush, 81, of Little Mountain, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at his residence.

Born on April 20, 1932, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late John Jesse and Carrie Lee Bundrick Bush. He was retired from Bagnal Builders where he was a construction superintendent. Mr. Bush was an Army veteran and a member of the Little Mountain Ruritans. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Little Mountaineer Senior Group, the Adult Sunday School Class, the Lutheran Men and was a former church council member.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Frick Bush; sons, Steve (Leah) Bush and David (Pam) Bush both of Little Mountain; daughters, Melinda (Charlie) Sease of Newberry and Emilie (Joe) Lassiter of Columbia; a sister, Sylvia Taylor of Little Mountain; fifteen grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by brothers, Heyward Bush, Homer Cecil Bush and John Carrol Bush.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brett Collins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00- 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church Building Fund, PO Box 186, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to We Care Center, PO Box 491, Chapin, SC 29036.

Active pallbearers will be Sonny Bundrick, Derek Bush, Benjamin Sease, Austin Sease, Chad Weaver and Brandon Wessinger.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and longtime friends, Rudy and Shelby Shealy.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Madden, Dr. Ford Bowers, Cindy Frick and Compassionate Care Hospice for their loving care.
